Hello!

Welcome to my online Degree Show blog. Here you can view all the various responses I have created for each module in the final year. These include layouts for briefs by the British Music Experience, the theme of 100, Self Promotion and Personal Identity, a Negotiated Project (which for me was a Victorian Steampunk inspired book cover) and Quirkology - a Science Museum exhibit. Hope you enjoy this small insight into my design process and the results. Please feel free to leave any comments, questions or suggestions as I would love to hear your feedback!

Self Promotion

Self Promotion

This brief involved the exploration of Self Promotion, identity and portfolio work for potential career progression.

I have a strong interest in Victorian style design and imagery and wanted this to be portrayed throughout my self promotion items.

The strong yet dark colour palette, elegant fonts and imagery hopefully portray a mature, professional and timeless quality that reflects my design process.

The brief included having to produce a range of self promotion items such as business cards, corporate stationary and to develop a unique way of saying hello as an introductory piece.

I really enjoyed researching unique and interesting ways of promoting my brand and decided to utilise the pop up cube and pyramid interactive mail outs.

These basically consist of a folded 3D shape which "pops" out of the packaging and carries your message to the recipient.  The shapes can then be "re-popped" and provide a fun and quirky interaction.

The following images show my final design set for Self Promotion, the research and experimentation process and images from my portfolio.
